Dear Colleague,
Employee Personal Computer Incentive Scheme (EPCIS)
I am
delighted to announce the re-launch of our computer training scheme which is
now available to all eligible staff.
As you will see from this website you have a choice of computers and training programmes to select from, to suit your needs. The payment for your training package is then reduced from your gross salary on a monthly basis. At the end of the 2 year training package you have the option to purchase the computer and any other equipment you have hired for a final additional charge (this fee will be subject to VAT).
The scheme is available from this website which is only open to Greenwich employees and there is a hotline telephone number that you can use to get advice and help – 0844 87 321 00.
You will see that the scheme gives you a choice of laptop or desktop computers including Apple Macs with OSX, PCs with Microsoft’s new Windows 7 operating system. Plus, an exciting new addition to the scheme are the iPad options.
The Windows All computers also come with the full Microsoft Office Professional suite of software, except for the iPads. When you take into account the total package most of our users (dependant on the tax they pay) will be making a significant saving against the same equipment packages on the High Street or the web.
On receipt of your Training you will receive a welcome letter from the EPCIS team, which will give you the full information should you ever have a Warranty Issue. Your copy of MS Office and training package will be delivered separately from the computer.
Please
ensure that you read the Council EPCIS scheme document which provides additional scheme information – any further queries, please
contact Sarah Thompson on ext 8202.
Yours sincerely,
Tim Anderson
HR Policy and Projects Manager
